What opulence!
We had an early start for our tour, thankgoodness. When we arrived at Versailless the sun had just risen , shining directly onto the entrance to this UNESCO World Heritage building. highlighting the gold painted reliefs of the gates and buildings.
While we waited for our appointed tour, we walked around the landscaped gardens, enjoying the views and sculptures. Then it was our turn to join the many tourists and guides to be amazed at the wealth and affluence of Louis XIV to Louis XVI. The Hall of Mirrors, Chapel, some of the Kings Apparments, just a few of the 800 rooms.
