Busan, South Korea 25th May 2018

Day spent discovering city shops....followed by magnificent display of fireworks

We decided to catch the ship's shuttle bus into the city and walk through the markets and shops. A lot of the small side streets were filled with pop-up stalls selling all sorts of clothing, food and novelties. Our day turned out to be a shopper's dream as long as everyone you wanted to buy for were no larger than size 10! Even when I enquired about shoe sizes of notable brands, I had been shown a chart of sizes, the larger sizes were blacked out, not stocked.

Our shuttle bus.......looks like it is used as a disco bus at night!

All the screens the driver is using...I wonder if he has much time is used keeping his eyes on the road in front!

Locals bought their lunch and stood at the stall while they ate.

A festival of some sort was held on the wharf near the Diamond Princess. To celebrate the closure of the event, organizers held a fireworks display which just happened to be conveniently to the side of the ship. Jill and I went up to the open deck above the bridge to watch. A wow moment!
