London 31st May 2019

Hop On Hop Off Bus 31st May 2019

Today we had a more leisurely start, having breakfast a little later and boarding our usual 'Blue Bus' from Gloucester Station. If possible we usually try to sit up on the top of the open deck of the bus which affords better views but also exposes us to the wind, dust and pollens. I am amazed how dusty London is but having travelled through the area, I have seen a lot of building sites where old buildings are demolished and replaced. Also the many Plane Trees are dropping their pollens into the air. I have had to use eye drops to calm my itchy eyes!

We disembarked the 'blue bus' at Marble Arch for the 'orange bus' which took us to Baker Street, past Madam Trousseau's, down Regent Street, past Nelson's Column, over the River Thames to Lambeth Palace. and returning to Marble Arch to rejoin the 'blue bus' for home.

We arrived back at Gloucester Road Station tired but having enjoyed our day out.

Narrow driveway for the bus to pull into at Baker Street Station.

                                                  Line up for Madame Trousseau's.

                                                                  Regent Street

                                                              Trafalgar Square

                                                                 Horse Guards

Interesting street sign. An obvious way of reducing carbon emissions
                                                      and reducing pollution.
