Now as our departure day is getting closer, I am feeling a build up of excitement. We booked this cruise in April 2018, the day before the booking was opened to the general public. It is one of the perks being an Elite Passenger to be able to book the day prior. We found out the cruise was booked out by 4.30 pm and Princess started to wait list potential passengers. A very popular itinerary, especially for DH and I as it leaves and returns from Adelaide where we live. On our World Cruise we flew to Sydney to join the Dawn Princess we each had one suitcase weighing 23 kilos, backpack and for me a handbag. On this cruise weight will not be a concern, we are even considering bringing on board a couple of cartons of wine (which of course we will have to pay corkage for). hiccup.
We have now paid our cruise in full and are now starting to mark off on the calendar when our shore tour payments need to be paid. Not quite ready to countdown our departure as yet!
I am looking at our wardrobe, deciding what to pack, expecting we will encounter quite a few hot days on shore excursions, being in the height of summer for most of the cruise or in the tropics. This year in January we experienced a 47C day and what with the drought Australia is in, I have a strong feeling there will be some extreme heat conditions where we go.
